Today we met with the team of Doctors to discuss Paisley's ongoing heart condition and steps going forward. We knew she would be needing surgery to repair the holes in her heart, but she has been showing the early signs of cardiac failure which worried the doctors.
The doctors insisted that Paisley will need bypass surgery eventually, but she is not strong enough physically at this point in time. Instead, they are going to surgically insert a band that will temporarily regulate excessive blood flow through the heart. This will be tentatively scheduled for mid August.
Paisley will need to recover at Stanford for 2-3 weeks. She will then be transferred to a Sub-Acute Facility in Campbell for 6-8 weeks until she is strong enough for open heart surgery back at Stanford.
We have faith in God's hand throughout this journey. Please continue to pray for her heart, sustained health, and continued development.
